This book was so much fun! It’s hard not to love a story about a hunky Norse god and cool psychic powers. The storyline was fresh, the characters rich, and the action was spot on. I particularly enjoyed the romantic scenes – Tempest has a great skill in describing the subtle aspects and motions of her characters. It was easy to connect with her characters, especially Kenna, the main protagonist. I loved how wonderfully flawed she was – her very relatable struggle to understand herself and come to terms with who she is.
At times I felt the internal monologue slowed the plot down; I would’ve preferred a few less backstory flashbacks. Also, there were quite a few grammatical errors I caught which brought me out, albeit temporarily, of the vivid and exciting story she’s telling.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it to my friends. I’ll definitely be checking out the next book in this series.
